The Teachers for Nuclear Disarmament was an offshoot of the People from Nuclear Disarmament formed by activists from the Teachers Federation.
The primary purpose was to bring together teachers, in all sectors of education, who shared concerns about nuclear disarmament and similiar issues. It was launched in Sydney. A principle aim was to develop and disseminate useful materials for peace education.
