The Aboriginal Education Foundation of SA was established in 1965. It was established to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal people, most importantly children. They aimed to achieve this by giving access to kindergarten programmes and supporting initiatives for higher levels of education. The first Secretary was Mr Laurie Bryan. The foundation ceased operations in 1996.
